Striper Trophy Season Opens April 16th, 2016
This is my Friend Ron Mcmorrow…He and his friends are the “Young Guns” of the light tackle jigging style that is becoming so popular. Most all of these fish were taken by jigging 10″ BKD’s near a warm water discharge over the course of the winter. Ron has fished almost every day it was fishable this winter and has caught and released a great number of trophy fish.
Ange Harclerode and I joined him on a couple trips with good success. Congrats on a great winter Season… Our best fishing is in the colder months most people don’t even fish it… by the time our waters warm up the fishing does not compare to the cold water fishing in winter.
With the cold streak that just occurred over the past week or so, the water should have cooled down enough to hold the fish for the good weather that is about show up.
