I fished the flats this afternoon with my friend Sonny and his Uncle Al.

Timothy Smith gave us some intel and we launched at 2pm fished to about 7 pm, catching well over a hundred Rockfish of all sizes up to 30″.

We had 4 fish over 26″ with the largest fish of the day at 30″.

X-raps caught the most fish but jigging BKD’s caught the biggest fish of the day. Al was live linning White Perch and had a half dozen or so fish that way in between throwing plugs. No topwater fish today… Swim Shads and rattle traps caught their share also.

Al was a funny guy… we laughed most all day. He has fished all over the world… and loves this light tackle fishing!
